[Scene: A small fishing village. An old fisherman is sitting on a rock, looking out to the sea.]

Old Fisherman: (sighs) I've been fishing these waters for nearly fifty years now. But it's getting harder and harder to make a living. The fish aren't biting like they used to, and the prices are so low. (pauses) I guess it's time for me to retire and hang up my rod and reel for good.

[A young boy approaches.]

Boy: Excuse me, sir? Can I ask you something?

Old Fisherman: Sure, what is it?

Boy: What's the best thing about being a fisherman?

Old Fisherman: (smiles) The best thing about being a fisherman is that every day you get to experience something new. You never know what you're going to catch or where your journey will take you. It's an adventure that never gets old!
