In my opinion, Macbeth expresses a regressive view of women. Throughout the play, women are portrayed as being subordinate to men and are often used as objects of manipulation. Lady Macbeth is an example of this as she is constantly pushing her husband to commit murder in order to further their ambitions. Women are also presented as weak and vulnerable, such as in the case of Lady Macduff who is killed along with her children by Macbeth's forces.
