ACT 1

Scene 1

(A man with a disability enters the office of a prospective employer. He is wearing neat business attire and carrying his resume.)

Employer: Hello, can I help you?

Man with Disability: Yes, I am here for an interview. I sent my resume in advance. (Hands over his resume)

Employer: (Looks at the resume) You have quite an impressive background, but why are you applying for this job? You are disabled. How can you perform the duties required?

Man with Disability: I understand your concerns, but if given a chance, I am sure that I can do the job just as well as anyone else. The fact that I am disabled does not mean that my skills and abilities are any less than those of someone who is not disabled. In fact, because of my condition, I am more motivated to prove myself and show what I can do. If given an opportunity to work here, you will find that my commitment to this job is second to none.

Employer: Well...I must say that your determination is admirable...very well then! Let's give it a try and see how it goes. Welcome aboard! (The man smiles in appreciation.)

ACT 2
Scene 1
(The man has been working at the office for several weeks now and has been doing very well so far.)
Employer: It seems like you've settled into your new role quite nicely! Your hard work and dedication have been commendable; keep up the good work!
Man with Disability: Thank you sir! It means a lot to me that you gave me this chance despite my disability; it has truly changed my life for the better!
  Employer: It was nothing really; everyone deserves an equal opportunity regardless of their physical condition or any other factor for that matter - now let's get back to work!
