Dear Mom and Dad,

I hope this email finds you both in good health and high spirits. I wanted to take a moment to update you on my life since leaving home.

Firstly, I want to thank you for your support and understanding during this transition period. It hasn't been easy being away from home, but I am grateful for the opportunity to gain some independence and explore new places.

In terms of my living situation, I have found a small apartment near campus that suits my needs. The roommates are friendly and we have established a good routine together. I have also been keeping busy with my studies and extracurricular activities.

As for food, I have been exploring different restaurants and grocery stores in the area. While it can be overwhelming at times, I am learning to cook more meals at home and have even tried a few new recipes!

Overall, I am doing well and adjusting to life as a young adult. I miss you both dearly and can't wait to see you again soon. Please send my love to everyone back home.
